[VIDEO] Hennessey Performance Unleashes H700 Package for the C8 Corvette Stingray Convertible

The C8 Corvette Stingray Convertibles have now been out for four years, and one of the more surprising stats has been the popularity of the convertible model which has soared over previous generations to the point that C8 production is now almost evenly split between the coupe and the HTC.

Texas-based tuner Hennessey Performance has previously offered upgrades for the C8 Stingray Coupes, and today they are back in the news with a new upgrade package specifically created for the C8 Corvette Stingray Hardtop Convertibles. With this package, they manage to give the Stingray HTCs more power than the celebrated C8 Z06 with its naturally aspirated 670 horsepower.

Corvette Stingrays are shipped from the factory with 490-bhp and 465 lb-ft of torque. While that may be plenty of performance for many, others think the Stingray’s LT2 V8 offers a great new starting point. With the new H700 package in place, Hennessey’s supercharged Stingray Convertible offers 708 bhp and 638 lb-ft of torque. That’s an upgrade that boosts horsepower by a whopping 44%, and torque by 38%.

The install includes a high-performance supercharger engineered to fit within the tight confines of the Stingray Convertible’s engine compartment. The upgraded HTCs will also have an air-to-water intercooler, high-flow air induction system, upgraded fuel system and a cat-back exhaust. The package can be further enhanced with additional options including an active-valve exhaust system, 19-in alloy wheels and a Hennessey C8 Heritage Livery.

All Hennessey Corvette Stingray Convertible upgrades include Hennessey and H700 badging, as well as a serialized plaque for the interior. Hennessey offers a 3-Year/36,000-Mile warranty on its upgrades as well. The H700 package is offered for all 2020-2024 Corvette Stingray Convertibles.
