Our good friend Mike Furman has been holding out on us as we just learned the national Corvette seller has taken delivery of his 25th Corvette and this one is very special as its wearing VIN 001! Mike sent me this recap to share with our readers, so congrats again Mike and we can’t wait to see the car next year at Corvettes at Carlisle!
Here’s what Mike shared with us:
Someone takes delivery of vin 00001 every year. For the 2024 Corvette Z06 I was the lucky one to take delivery a couple of months ago. I always say “Chance favors the prepared mind” and I started this quest a long time ago. So Corvette ownership #25 resides in my garage and I still shake my head when I peek at the vin and it reads 00001.
~I drove 00001 by Tony’s Corvette shop which is only 2 miles from my house and he (Tony Avedisian) came out along with customers taking pictures like it was Paris Hilton for 15 seconds of fame. It takes a lot to “wow” Tony, and he was “wowed”.
~Two weeks ago I received a phone call from the Utah Corvette collector (Corey) that owns the very first Corvette produced for the 1953 model year and after we were done discussing his 1953 and others that he owns in his vast collection, I mentioned that I own vin 00001 2024 Z06 and he was thrilled to hear all about it and see pictures/video. After about a week he sent me a text that he had shared my story/pics with others in his Corvette circle and they all thought it was super cool, not to mention they liked the color combo tremendously.
*Corvette people are numbers orientated whether it be how many were built as optioned or a certain color combo but the one thing that stays consistent is that the Corvettes are built sequentially. Below is how I optioned my 2024 Corvette Z06 Convt., the very first Riptide Blue Z06 produced.
