Happy E-Ray first test day, Corvette Nation! We’ll be compiling a mountain of links for your weekend enjoyment as the day progresses, but we’re going to start by re-introducing you to savagegeese, the YouTube channel that nerds-out on ‘Vettes better than any other!

Sports Car Enthusiasts North of the Mason-Dixon, Rejoice!

Right out of the gate, Corvette Team engineer Trevor Hall details his past year of E-Ray driving (it’s a tough job, having unlimited access to pre-production Corvettes, but, somehow, he manages). He also owns a Tahoe, and he claims with a completely straight face that in conditions where there’s less than six inches of snow on the ground, he’s actually more comfortable driving the newest Corvette. What a time to be alive!

Straight From the Source

We love the SG channel because the guys that run it don’t just give us their thoughts on the cars, they go out of their way to include engineers, racers, and executives that can share intimate details and behind-the-scenes stories from all points during a vehicle’s evolution from drawing board to showroom. Before we even enter the second chapter of the 36-minute video, we get to hear from Hall, Lead Development Engineer Keith Badgley and Corvette Team Senior Researcher Saurabh Kapoor, who both dole out nuggets (of information) like McDonald’s Happy Meals.

And So Much More!

We won’t keep you too long, but if you still haven’t mashed the play button on this video, you’re in for even more of a treat! If knowing exactly what makes every new Corvette tick is something that makes you tick, we might be interested in your contributions to the site, but, for now, you’re in for a real treat! Brace yourself for cutaways and computer-aided imagery and blowups galore! It’s all capped off by 12-minutes of real-world driving impressions! Now what are you waiting for!? This one is 100% worth your time!
