This morning I joined Steve Garrett to record the News and Headlines edition of the Corvette Today Podcast for next week, and regular listeners know that we always start out with some production information. As we have some ongoing news here, I thought it also appropriate to offer up a quick post on Corvette production and where we currently stand.

So we’ve been cooking along these last few months without too many issues affecting production, but we did have a parts supply problem that impacted production beginning with the second shift on Thursday, June 15th and then both shifts on Friday June 16th. Zero Corvettes were completed during that second shift on Thursday, and then only 17 stingrays and just two Z06s were produced that Friday. We heard the cause may have been no chassis rails, but that is unconfirmed. The assembly plant seemed to recover from that supply issue by the following Monday and on Tuesday, June 20th, a total 195 cars were produced over two shifts.

For the counts, as of Wednesday, we are showing approximately 39,501 total Corvette Stingrays produced. That’s the combined number of 35,721 Stingrays and 3,780 70th Anniversary Stingrays. Z06 production has now built 3,109 regular Z06s and 614 70th Anniversary models for a total of 3,723 Z06s.

The grand total for 2023 Corvette production stands at approximately 43,224 as Wednesday.

We get these production counts from Roger Kiel who posts his spreadsheets daily to various C8 Facebook groups. Roger gave us the heads up in late May that the assembly plant had built around 150 Corvette E-Rays as captured test fleet cars, and Roger has suggested that additional quantities of E-Ray CTFs were also built during June, but no numbers have been shared.
