2023 Corvette Wins Kelley Blue Book’s 2023 Best Resale Value Award

Corvettes have always done a pretty good job in keeping their values on resale, but we all know that was kicked up a notch with the arrival of the C8 Corvette back in 2020.

So it’s not really a surprise to learn that the 2023 Corvette Stingray was named the winner of the Kelley Blue Book 2023 Best Resale Value Award for Sports Cars, and was also named to KBB’s listing of the Top 10 Cars for 2023 Best Overall Resale Value.

This is the four consecutive year that the Corvette was a KBB Resale Value award winner.

KBB says the Top 10 vehicles retain their value better than 95% of all other models, with the Corvette having a resale value of 65.3% of its original sticker price after 60 months. That’s compared to the average new vehicle worth only 45% of its original MSRP.

The Chevy Corvette was the only GM vehicle to make it to the Top 10, but other GM vehicles did well in the respective categories. The GMC Yukon won the full-size SUV segment with a resale value of 49.3%, the Bolt EV won the Electric Car segment with a 41.6% resale value, while the 2023 Chevolet Silverado HD won the Heavy-Duty Pickup Truck segment with a resale value of 60.1%

Lastly, Kelley Blue Book says that higher resale values can be significant: The difference between a $35,000 vehicle with a 65% resale value like those in the Top 10 versus the average of 45% can be about $7,000 over a 5-year term.
