[VIDEO] C8 Corvette Stingray Transformed into a Bagged Widebody by West Coast Customs

Check out this formerly Arctic White C8 Corvette Stingray Convertible as its transformed from Mild to Wild by the skilled technicians at West Coast Customs.

The owner of the new Stingray originally wanted to customize the car with aftermarket wheels, vertical doors, and a wrap. But after some consideration, the owner’s wish list grew exponentially to include a widebody kit, air-ride suspension, a McClaren-esque exhaust system, and even a window cutout in HTC’s deck so the owner could see the engine. It’s a major transformation and one that West Coast Customs is very much suited for.

We always enjoy watching craftsman do their things, and there is a lot of fabrication involved when doing the widebody kit and air-bag suspension. From the cutting of the fenders to fit the wheels under the car, to the addition of the high-center-exit exhaust tips on each side of the license plate.

Also interesting is the addition of a see-thru window on the back deck of the hardtop convertible, for the purpose of looking down into the motor. We see the really cool window that is built, but no idea if they added the clear plastic engine cover and you can actually see the motor.

The final details of the transformation include the wrapping of the car in gloss and matte black and 21/22-inch Forgiato wheels.

Turning renderings into reality. You’ve heard it for years. West Coast Customs clients typically come to the shop with a vision. For this build, Paul knew exactly what he was looking for on his C8 Corvette. From a widebody kit and@ForgiatoTVwheels to a custom exhaust, the West Coast Customs team did it all to make sure the client had everything he wanted.

  1. Now that’s what I call a costly ugly hack job, what was the cost of this mess? I wouldn’t take this car for free. I can’t imagine opening my garage door and seeing this thing sitting there. Plus the warranty just got flushed down the toilet. Wait till things start going wrong, another $10,000, every time.

  2. I feel like they could’ve snuck a 3rd rear wing in there. Maybe version 2.0 can have the Z51 wing, the ZR1 wing and then the high wing attached to the top of that? Maybe they could stick the ducktail on top of the Z51 wing too and then they’d have FOUR wings. So many possibilities.

  3. I enjoyed watching the video despite not liking the car at all. Way too over the top for me. Ugly front end, ugly rear end and ugly bolt on fender flares. I know West Coast Customs can do better than that POS.

  4. Some people have too much money and too little taste. The bolt on fenders look like an erector set add-on, and the wing is so out of place on this car. They’ve ruined it.

  5. Sorry, but this looks like crap and was done by a teenager, not a Professional Shop if you can call them that after looking at this trash. What a way to ruin a beautiful car.

  6. What a horrible thing to do to such a beautiful car.

Exposed screwheads, cheesy spoiler, loss of both trunk and frunk… What the heck? Black steals off of the special design points. The glass over the engine and the black/chrome wheels are the only style improvemens.
