Here’s an odd story about certain 2023 Corvette Stingrays and Z06s.
Some 2023 buyers may have been accidentally charged twice for the optional Bright Red brake calipers (RPO code J6F), prompting Chevrolet to begin a customer satisfaction program to handle the matter.
According to a post by GM Authority, dealerships are being instructed to issue a check for $595 – the cost of the optional calipers – to affected customers.
GM hasn’t said how many 2023 Corvette buyers are affected by the miscue, only that both the Stingray and Z06 models are included.
Customers will be notified by GM if they are eligible for the reimbursement, or owners with questions can call the Chevrolet Customer Service number: 1-877-248-2080 and ask about
GM Customer Satisfaction Program number: N222390630.
Seems to us this could be related to the constraint on the Edge Red Brake Calipers last summer that prompted GM to switch out those calipers for the Bright Red caliplers on the 70th Anniversary Editions. As always, check your receipts (and compare your window sticker to your buyer/financing documents to ensure they match up)!
