[VIDEO] I Can't Stop Watching this E-Ray Autocross Video on GM's Black Lake from EddieX


What do you get when you cross the C8 mid-engine’s 495-hp LT2 V8 engine plus larger tires plus a 160-hp electric motor on the front wheels for eAWD? A good time!

While the 2024 Corvette E-Ray may not be the replacement for the C8 Z06 on a proper road course, we could see the first hybrid Corvette doing pretty well on the autocross course where fast sprints, quick turns, and heavy braking all play into the E-Ray’s strengths.

Check out this demonstration when the E-Ray runs the cones on Black Lake.

  1. With the familiar growl of a V8 and the ERay’s new whirling electric motor, it really does sound like a futuristic spacecraft in a sci-fi movie.

  2. Damn, pretty impressive. Camera angle leaves much to be desired, to much on the driver. Sounds killer the driver doesn’t even look like he’s working at it. Cool.
