The new mid-engine Corvette Stingray has already won a lot of awards in its brief four-year history.

Add another prize to the ever-growing list for America’s (Favorite) Sports Car.

Consumer Reports hasn’t always been the most supportive friend of the Corvette, but when it recently asked owners of new 2023 vehicles about the satisfaction level of their purchases, guess which model came out on top?

If you said Corvette, you’d be right.

When Consumer Reports asked owners if they had to do it all over again, would they definitely buy or lease the same model, an industry-leading 94 percent of owners said they would stick with the Corvette. Guess those long waits to take delivery were worth it, huh?

That figure beat out even the iconic Porsche 911, with 90 percent of its owners opting to make the same choice again, good for the runner-up position.

In third place with 88 percent approval were five models: Rivian R1T, Ford Maverick Hybrid, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Polestar 2, and Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86.

At the other end of the spectrum, meanwhile, was the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport with only 38 percent of owners saying they would buy that model again. In the second and third spots were the Mercedes-Benz GLB (39 percent) and Infiniti QX50 (40 percent).
