Bidding at $45,000 – Ends Wednesday 12/21 2:00pm Central
1966 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Convertible, Matching Numbers 427 – 425 Horsepower, 4 Speed Manual Transmission, this is a Stunning 1966 Big Block Corvette, Finished in Correct Color Sunfire Yellow with Black Bucket Seat Interior and soft top. Knock-off wheels, Side Pipes, Teakwood Steering Wheel and Rare Headrest Seats (only 1,033 cars had this option in 1966), Accident-Free Body, and Solid Frame.
This car underwent an extensive professional frame-off restoration. The car was taken completely apart and put back together. The original engine was rebuilt when the car was restored. The restoration is documented with almost 100 pictures that come with the car. The previous owner bought the car in 2002 and has been driving it very little since only to car shows and on short trips.
The odometer was reset to 0 at that time, so the mileage of 1,631 miles on the car is actually since the frame off restoration.
