[VIDEO] Jordan Taylor Takes Us Behind the Scenes at Road Atlanta for Petit Le Mans

Corvette Racing wrapped up their IMSA schedule for 2022 following the final race earlier this month at Road Atlanta. Like we’ve seen several times during this year’s campaign, we have Corvette driving ace Jordan Taylor taking us behind the scenes for the Petit Le Mans weekend.

A lot can happen during a 10-hour race and Jordan says it will basically come down to traffic management as the GTD-Am cars have the same power as the GTD-Pro racers. “It’s impossible to pass them if he doesn’t want to let you go by,” says Jordan and he also anticipates traffic issues from certain LMP2 and LMP3 cars.

The Friday autograph session is one of the big events for fans to meet the drivers and Jordan gives us a little insight into his teammate Antonio who apparently doesn’t like it when you hang on to “your” poster going down the autograph line.

“A lot of people like to hold on to their own poster as it goes down the line like it’s their personal one, and they’re watching it get signed and Antonio really doesn’t like when people do that, so he’ll actually physically take it from their hands and say ‘your poster is at the end’…it’s the only time he really speaks.”

On Saturday which is race day, Jordan talks with some drivers from other racing teams before the race and we get another round of “Would you rather” questions which he poses to the other drivers for response. Always fun stuff happening with that!

Once the green flag drops, Jordan offers up his thoughts on how the car is doing. Unfortunately, he wasn’t too happy with his first stint behind the wheel during which he had contact with the No. 9 Porsche that resulted in a flat tire and being cycled to the end in class. We get a final race wrap-up with the team finishing P6 in class. Not the result they were hoping for, but as always, the team will be back next year for another go at Petit Le Mans.
