One of the great attributes of our friends at ACS Composite is that they are always looking to improve the looks and performance of our Corvettes with their exclusive aero designs. ACS is one of the leading aftermarket companies that design and develop high-quality parts and accessories for the Chevrolet Corvette. ACS parts are trusted by thousands of Corvette owners for their great looks, durability, and ease of installation.

Earlier this year, ACS Composite introduced a new aero product for C7 Corvette owners, which we are featuring here today. We’ll also be taking a closer look at ACS Composite’s must-have Rock Guards for both the C7 and C8 Corvette. You can see all of ACS Composite’s offerings for the C6-C8 Corvette at acscomposite.com.

C7 Corvette 5VM Rocker Winglets

We can imagine that the product designers at ACS Composite were looking at just how good the 5VM aerodynamic side rockers look on the C8 Corvette when the inspiration struck for creating a 5VM-style winglet for the C7 Corvette. Of course, you can’t just take the 5VM from the C8 and slap it on a C7. ACS Composite redesigned and reproportioned these bolt-on winglets specifically for the seventh-generation Corvette. Once installed they enhance the C7’s rear brake ducts (on C7 widebody models) and they also complement ACS Composite’s Rear Quarter Extensions for the C7 as well.

The C7 5VM Winglets are manufactured by ACS Composite using their signature PC Composite material and injection molding. ACS says this method of manufacture “creates a highly long-lasting production optimal for an automotive accessory component.” The PC Composite material is very strong and durable, it is heat resistant, and also scratch-resistant. The Winglets are shipped painted in Carbon Flash Metallic to match the OEM CFZ components on your C7.

The C7 5VM Rocker Winglet can be installed on any C7 Corvette (Stingray, Grand Sport, Z06, and ZR1) equipped with Z06 style rockers. ACS also offers a list of their side-rockers compatible with the 5VM Rocker Winglets. As always, ACS offers an in-depth review of the new winglets in a video as Joseph takes us through the installation step-by-step for adding the 5VM winglets to your C7 Corvette.

C7 Corvette XL Front Rock Guards

While we are on the subject of C7s, is your Corvette protected with ACS Composite’s Rock Guards? Their C7 XL Front Rock Guards offer double the protection of GM’s OEM splash guards. No more cringing when your sticky Michelin tires start kicking up rocks and other road debris and these Rock Guards also prevent rocks from getting into places they aren’t supposed to. With these XL Rock Guards in place, you’ll reduce rock chips and save money on paint chip repairs.

ACS Composite started with GM’s OEM design but then made substantial improvements over the OEM design like a bladed shield on the edges which helps prevent any debris from directly entering the wheel well. The bladed design controls and redirects those rocks downward and away from the car. The C7 XL Front Rock Guards are manufactured from ACS’s PC Composite material that resists scratches and chipping, and yet it is nearly relatively weightless compared to other components.

The C7 XL Front Rock Guards for the C7 Corvette comes from ACS Composite already pre-painted in Carbon Flash Metallic so they will match all the C7 trim and ground effects. Installation is a snap with ACS providing an installation video showing just how easy it can be to add Rock Guards to your Corvette. No drilling, cutting, or other modifications needed. Just snap into place and that’s it!

C7 XL Front Rock Guards are $279/pair and will fit all C7 models from Stingray to ZR1. Expand the protection to all four wheels for $499 and save $59! As always, shipping is included.

C8 Corvette Rock Guards

ACS Composite’s C8 Rock Guards is one of the best investments you can make to protect the paint on your mid-engine Corvette from rocks and other road debris. The Corvette’s inherent “coke bottle” shape makes it easy for your sticky Michelin tires to pick up rocks and stones and launch them rearward against the side of your Corvette. Ceramic coatings and paint protection films do offer protection against rock strikes, but ACS Rock Guards stop the rocks from hitting your car in the first place.

C8 Corvette Rock Guards

ACS Composite’s C8 Rock Guards offer added protection with features that include a wider edge, a bladed shield that helps control rocks and road debris inside the wheel well, and an added downward extension that provides great stopping power front and back. C8 Rock Guards are manufactured from ACS Composite’s proprietary PC Composite material and are designed to withstand extreme temperatures as well as impacts from rocks and other road debris.

C8 Corvette Rock Guards

It only takes about 30 minutes to install the ACS C8 Rock Guards as they use the stock OEM mounting points in the wheel wells, so no drilling or two-sided take is needed to secure them to your Corvette. That makes the installation reversible as well. Check out the install video below and order your C8 Rock Guards today!

ACS Composite offers the C8 Rock Guards as a set of four (2-front/2-rear) for $499 with Free Shipping included.

  1. Rocker Winglets look cool but all I see is a place for small rocks and road debris to collect and since it’s so tight to the body (in the rear) appears as if it would be very hard to clean out. And given Chevy has clear bra pieces from the factory in that area, (I am guessing) that is an area that appears to be the recipient of some stones and road debris and the Winglets would just direct more debris to this area.

  2. All my aero is from ACS and is factory style. I don’t think this new stuff would look good on my Grand Sport. To each his own. ACS makes better quality than I think factory pieces.
