[VIDEO] Florida Sheriff Confiscates and is Selling a 2003 50th Anniversary Corvette

If you want to peddle illegal drugs and drive a fancy car, a Florida lawman has a strong warning for you.

“If you don’t want to be on the Sheriff’s High Interest Target List, then I suggest you get the hell out of Flagler County because we are coming for you next, your profits, and your vehicles,” Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staley said in a YouTube video this week.

In the video, Staley is standing with a 50th Anniversary 2003 Corvette and a 2019 Nissan Maxima confiscated by his office from two alleged drug dealers.

Deputies arrested 42-year-old Christopher McDaniel after finding trafficking amounts of fentanyl and $2,691 cash in his Corvette.

He’s charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting an officer.

His Corvette is up for auction now on GovDeals.com.

The Maxima, meanwhile, was seized from a second suspected drug dealer, Andre Harvey, 44.

He was arrested after allegedly trying to break into his ex-wife’s home and threatening her. After a county-wide manhunt, deputies found fentanyl and cash in the car.

The sheriff sends this message to other drug dealers in his county.

“After we raid your poison peddling house, then you go to the Green Roof Inn behind me, then we take your vehicles so when you get out of jail, you’re walking,” Staley says in a YouTube video.

“So I want to thank the poison peddlers for saving the taxpayers money. (The Maxima) is going to be part of the sheriff’s fleet. This great-looking 50th Anniversary Corvette is going to auction, and all the proceeds go to support our community in different events. Between these two poison peddlers, there was enough fentanyl to kill 15,000 people.”

  1. Likely a more popular idea than the one recently published about rebranding with local police colors and parading around town. I don’t have a dog in the fight but the rebranding as opposed to selling seemed to ruffle lots of feathers.

  2. It is legal thief done by the law enforcement for the benefit of the same Law Enforcement that stole it and if that ain’t a Conflict of Interest , it would be interesting to learn , what is ,,,,,,,,
