[VIDEO] Take a Walk Around the Corvette Generations Salvage Yard in Central Florida

I recently stumbled on the YouTube channel called 76Vette and it’s an amazing resource of how-to videos, car show events, and profiles with other C3 owners. Unlike most YouTubers, there is also a companion website which you can see at www.76vette.com.

The guy behind the 76Vette needed a hard-to-find part for his Corvette so he visited a salvage yard about an hour north of Tampa in Dade City called Corvette Generations. They specialize in C3 and C4 Corvettes exclusively and have approximately 350 cars on the property as well as 18 semi trailers filled to the gills with C3 and C4 parts.

Wally Dye is the owner of Corvette Generation and he offers 76Vette this grand tour around the property.

Corvette Generations isn’t a “you-pull-it” operation and it’s not open to the general public, however, they do have an order hotline at (352) 523-0900 or you can send an email to [email protected]. The good news is that they ship worldwide!

We spotted so many (formerly) great Corvettes during the video tour and for some, it’s a very sad sight to see. On the flip side of that emotion is the knowledge that these Corvettes and the parts that came off them are being recycled which helps other Corvette owners attain their dream car. Wally tells 76Vette that “had all these cars been Toyotas, they would have been melted down into a Kia now.”

We can also appreciate the fact that there are a number of cars on the property that are being restored. We saw both a 1982 Collectors Edition and a 1968 Blue Coupe in one of the covered shops.
