TITLE

Brad Hansen of the YouTube Channel Retro Cars Forever has put together a huge video focusing on everything a first-time buyer needs to know when purchasing a C4 Corvette. Brad owns a 1996 Collector’s Edition with the LT4 and over the last couple of years, his channel has become a great resource of content on the 4th generation Corvettes.

The C4 Corvette doesn’t get the love and respect these days but they were the bomb when they first came out. Today you can find typically find good quality examples for under $15,000 and some with higher mileage can fall to under $10,000, so these make great starter Corvettes for someone looking for a fun car without breaking the bank.

For first-time Corvette buyers, having a comprehensive video covering all years of a single generation is a great way to do a deep dive, and Brad does a great job in assembling a number of C4s to show real-world examples. As the C4 was the second-longest-running generation covering 1984-1996, there were a lot of changes year to year and he covers everything from prices and values, problem areas, gas mileage, and must-have options.

  1. Nice job, I’ve only had 1 C4 that I bought new in 1985. It was pretty loaded at almost $29K. I liked the Doug Nash 4+3, it worked well. Bose was awesome and the L98 had good torque.
