What a dilemma for someone out there who desperately is seeking a new C8 Corvette.
Do they pay more than $100,000 for a slightly used, still perfect Stingray on the open market, or do they wait patiently for a year or more on a waiting list at a dealership and order exactly what they want for much less money?
Of course, there is a third option – this 2021 Torch Red Corvette Stingray that has suffered minor front and rear damage and is being offered on eBay for $76,900.
At first glance, the car looks terrible, with the ugly inner workings of the front end on full display, including those massive radiators on each side.
On the bright side, the impact must have been minimal because said radiators appear to be intact, the Adrenaline Red interior still looks perfect, and the seller says all airbags remain intact.
If we had to guess, we’d think maybe the car got loose and spun around, striking the front and rear end, or maybe it was involved in a slow-rolling fender-bender where it became the filling for a Corvette sandwich.
Since the car is being offered with a salvage title, it’s never going to be worth as much as a pristine, undamaged example. We personally think $76,900 is way too much to start out with a damaged 1LT Stingray that – once all the market hysteria eventually dies down – is going to be worth way less than what a new owner will have invested.
On the other hand, if you’re interested in adding a widebody kit and other mods to a C8, then this might be an answer for you. Still, we’re not that sure if this is the best answer for someone desperate to own a Stingray, are you?

From the pic’s , this car has more damage than the cars that were damaged by the tornado….and , they are planning to crush them…….
Might be a good buy for a body shop. But it will always have a salvage title – bummer.
This is a base Corvette. That’s right, a $60,000 MSRP car, brand new. Let that sink in…
Doug Fehan’s perfect 2LT 2020 with PPF just went for $84,500 on BaT….just don’t think this wreck is worth $77K.
crushing the cars may be bull crap. salvage car will cost more than a new one after repairs and its a 1LT.
