It’s been a few months since we checked in with the Lost Corvettes Giveaway and it looks like we are just in time as another set of six Corvettes from the original 36-car VH1/Peter Max Collection will be offered in May. To date, there have been 16 lucky winners and if you want your chance at joining them, get your tickets by May 3rd.

As a CorvetteBlogger reader, you can receive Double Entries with ticket packages beginning at $25.

We’ve been following the exploits of “The Lost Corvettes” for nearly 15 years now – those 36 Vettes that range from 1953-1989 and were offered to one winner in the famous VH1 contest held back in 1989. The collection was purchased from the original winner and then stored away for decades by pop artist Peter Max. Now each of the 36 Corvettes is offered in a sweepstakes fundraiser for the National Guard Educational Foundation.

The collection has been undergoing restoration and cleaning at Dream Car Restorations on Long Island. Each of the cars is given attention to the mechanics, interior, and paint are all being refreshed for their new owners after their decades-long storage. There have been several schedule changes since the contest was first announced, and the COVID pandemic also slowed everything down, but we would rather see that each of these Corvettes are presented in a condition where they can be reliably driven and enjoyed by their new owners.

The Lost Corvettes still offered include: ’53, ’55, ’56, ’60, ’61, ’62, ’66, ’67, ’68, ’69, ’71, ’73, ’76, ’77, ’78, ’81, ’82, ’84, ’85, ’89. The updated schedule shows there are three more drawings slated with six selected on May 28 (entry deadline May 3rd), another six on August 16th (entry deadline July 19th) and the drawing for the final eight Corvettes is scheduled for October 18th (entry deadline September 20th).
