Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.
Mike has a fun post today as these lucky owners receive their new Corvettes just in time for the holidays. Like the rest of us, Mike is sad to see Corvette Racing’s Doug Fehan leaving the team, and Mike shares some great photos from his trip to the 24 Hours of Le Mans a few years ago. ~Each and every day I speak with dozens of Corvette enthusiasts not just from the United States but most every Country. The other Generations of Corvettes brought an occasional call from Guam, Finland, etc but the C8 brings in calls weekly from Germany, Japan, Australia seeking information. That speaks volumes of what a World Class sports car the 8th generation Corvette really is. Feedback from the current 2020 owners and the market is telling the rest of the story. I don’t pay attention to the magazine articles as much as the owners/customers driving the new Corvette on the street. The opinion of the people that invest in the time/money to get the C8 matters most to me. ~I arrived at Criswell Chevrolet yesterday at 6:30 am and greeted some of my service customers and then started taking Corvettes to the cleanup bay with the sky having an Orange glow.
~I was sad to see Doug Fehan and Corvette Racing part ways this week. Great leader, great man.

~Blast from the past when the Corvette Club of Buffalo, NY took a field trip to visit me at Criswell Chevrolet. I had goodie bags for all. (circa 2012/13.)
C7 deposit for the 2014 Corvette Bruce bought from me and then just last month he also took delivery of a C8.

~Wendell L. of Fairfield, Illinois last owned a new Red Corvette Convt in 1963 and of course, it was sold to start a family…fast forward and his daughter wanted him to have a Red Corvette again so she ordered up a loaded Torch Red 2020 Corvette Z51 convertible and gifted it to him. The paperwork/payment was completed via Fed Ex and Plycar had a few trucks here at Criswell taking my deliveries nationwide and just yesterday has dropped off special delivery to Wendell’s driveway. Equipment list: 3LT pkg, cf painted Nacelles and top, front lift, cf instrument panel, magnetic ride, bright red calipers, cf painted wheels, two-tone red/black interior, cf painted mirrors/spoiler, Z51 pkg. I think Angela is a shoo-in for the daughter of the year in the Corvette gifting world!
~Chuck and Maria G. of Lower Gwynedd, Pennsylvania last bought a super cool 2012 Callaway Centennial Corvette convertible from me and today they took delivery of a Sebring Orange 2020 Corvette Z51 coupe with Sky cool gray interior. His father accompanied Chuck last time(view last two pics) and today his wife took the 150-mile road trip and both were sporting Orange Corvette Museum clothing! Equipment list: 3LT pkg, front lift, CF Instrument cluster, magnetic ride, cf painted wheels, CF painted mirrors/spoiler, engine appearance pkg, Z51 pkg, and Orange seat belts. Fantastic color combo! Chuck and Maria were shocked I had them in and out in 30 minutes… Email after getting him ”Thanks so much for all of your help Mike!! Just got home. Amazing car and it drove like a dream! ” From when I placed my deposit with Mike almost 17 months ago, to delivery yesterday, he made the process easy and so efficient. ~Mike H. of Twenty Nine Palms, California factory ordered his new Torch Red 2020 Z51 Corvette and made it a family affair at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. Yesterday was a fun day at the Museum as fun was had by all! Jacky will drive this new Corvette full-time so I expect to see him here at Criswell twice per year for his 5k oil changes. The Frank Class Corvette barn find and throwback section. Post up your favorite picture this week…and below is a tip of the cap to Frank Class. He has been gone at least 5 years and I miss him and his plethora of Corvette stories. He must have owned 50 Corvettes with the first new one being in 1957.

Mike… I just love your posts! …the historical pictoral perspectives you add for us Corvette enthusiasts brings back a lot of memories – especially for us old guys. Makes me wish I was born in ‘24 vs ‘54… so I coulda had a shiny 54 convertible in my own garage…. instead of seeing them in my Dad’s pals’ garages and wheelie-ing down the strips on Friday nights as an 8 year old in the early 60’s. But at the same time, I thoroughly enjoy reading the specs and seeing the insides and outs of the new C8’s you deliver, in different color and spec combos that you post. My 2021 HTC is not coming till late Spring, if I’m lucky. … via your ‘brothers-in-kind’ at MacMulkin. Merry Christmas Mike.
