Dancing DRLs?
Check out the video of these Daytime Running Lights on this very cold 2020 Corvette as shared by its owner James Rolin on Instagram.
James says that he started up his car on a cold Montana morning and then started recording after seeing the light show. He says his lights are OEM stock and replied to a comment that he didn’t know his lights could do that. “I just happened to go look at it before getting in and saw the show!” said James.
Could this be another Easter Egg on the car? Check out the dancing lights in action:
A link to the video was posted to the C8 Corvette Owners group on Facebook and now members are trying to replicate or capture the dancing lights themselves, but so far it seems everyone has been unsuccessful. “Any C8 engineers would please give us the secret to this light show/headlight dance? I’ve tried remote-starting mine in cold condition (about 28 F today) but my DRL just lit up normally,” writes Kanit Kuevibulvanich.
We’ll reach out to the Corvette Team to see if they have an answer. In the meantime, enjoy these dancing DRLs!
