Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

Welcome to another Sunday post featuring new Corvette deliveries by Mike Furman. If you are a C8 Convertible fan, you will enjoy seeing many of the new 2020 Corvette convertibles delivered this week in many different colors and stripe packages. Mike shares some more Konner family photos and we get a great collection of vintage and throwback photos for your review. ~I brown bag it every day…and I have no assistants. I am literally answering every email and phone call one at a time. The 8th generation Corvette is a phenomenon in the sports car world and after selling Corvettes for as long as I have (5 Generation changes) I had thought I had seen the hysteria before but the C8 has surpassed anything I could ever imagine. If you’ve had the pleasure of driving a C8…then you will know why. The delivery pics and stories below are about half of what I can cover or post as I await delivery pics from my offsite deliveries. ~This week I received two Corvette sculptures in the mail from Amalgam. Tom G. of NJ set this up so that I could include them in my collection plus he wanted to know my thoughts on the C2 and C8 sculptures that they produced. Incredible work went into the packaging and precision handmade styling and the weight is surprising for the size. They go perfectly on my desk and are a great collector’s piece for sure. ~Bob C. Of Brick, New Jersey was referred to me by my former boss, Gary Konner of Malcolm Konner Chevrolet. Bob not only bought all his Corvettes from Gary back in the day but Gary stores his Corvette collection in Bob’s temp controlled facility in NJ. Check out the old pics of Bob and Gary in this post. Bob traded in his 1 of 1 1971 ZR1 Convt for a C4 Callaway back in 1987. Bob factory ordered a Ceramic Matrix Gray metallic 2020 Corvette Z51 Convertible with the Tension Blue and Twilight blue two-tone dipped interior. Equipment list: 3LT pkg, body-color accents, chrome badges, front lift, magnetic ride, spectra gray wheels, and of course the R8C Corvette Museum delivery option in which he accomplished last week along with his family. Stunning combo for a great Corvette Aficionado!

Bob stands by the 1986 Malcolm Konner Edition Corvette at the Corvette Museum that the Konner family donated to the Museum decades ago. 1 of only 50 built.

Gary Konner and Bob C. with Bob’s new 1987 Callaway Corvette that he had just purchased at Malcolm Konner Chevrolet in Paramus, NJ. Bob traded in that 1971 ZR1 Convt on this Callaway.

~Peter B. of Palm Beach, Florida splits time with his NY home in the Hamptons but we grew up in the same area. My former Malcolm Konner’s boss, Gary Konner had referred him my way and the rest is history. Peter ordered a Ceramic Matrix gray 2020 Corvette Convt with Natural dipped interior. Equipment list: 3LT pkg, chrome badges, front lift, magnetic ride, bright red calipers, Z51 pkg, and much more. We completed the paperwork/payment via Fed Ex and Plycar trucking enclose trailered his new Stingray to his Palm Beach home.

~Kenny “Tweety” B. of Lewisville, Texas and I first met approx 5-6 years ago at the Corvette Bash through Jeremy Welborn. So it seems we have gone full circle as he and his wife Diane took delivery of his Rapid Blue 2020 Corvette Convt at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. The C8 reveal in Tustin, California was a big deal to attend and one of my favorite phone calls in July of 2019 to make were to Jeremy Welborn and Kenny alerting them I had two front row seats for them and that I would see them at the reveal! Kenny’s new Z51 Convt is loaded. Equipment list: 3LT pkg, Tension blue, and twilight blue interior, CF painted Nacelles and roof, front lift, CF instrument trim, magnetic ride, bright red calipers, CF painted wheels, CF painted mirrors/spoiler, and much more!

~Michael and Kelly D. of Dallas, Oregon were referred to me by John Elegant and they wanted to do something special for their very first Corvette purchase. Corvette Museum delivery was in store for these former Mustang owners. Owners of many American Musclecars throughout the years and now they have an Arctic White 2020 Z51 coupe which they are currently navigating 2,300 miles from Bowling Green, KY to their home in Oregon. I truly hope to meet these two customers someday. Equipment list: 2LT pkg, sterling silver full-length stripes, front lift, bright red calipers, engine appearance pkg, and torch red seat belts. I wish them nothing but the smoothest of rides home.

~Kirk H. of Berlin, MD has owned two other Corvettes, a 1976 Corvette…and 2015 that he had bought from me brand new. Last week he took delivery of his new Elkhart Lake Blue 2020 Corvette Z51 convertible with Sky cool gray interior. To say he was excited about this car and color combo is an understatement. Exactly what he was seeking for his Corvette factory order. Equipment list: 3LT pkg, CF painted Nacelles, front lift, magnetic ride, sterling silver trident wheels, and much more.

~Ed and Becky K. of Falls Church VA last bought a C7 from me on New Year’s Eve 2016…last week Ed drove away in his 7th Corvette. Ed and I have become good Corvette friends over the years and he sends me tons of referrals …now we need to play some golf! Ed ordered a Ceramic matrix gray metallic 2020 Corvette coupe with Adrenaline Red seats, 1LT pkg, transparent roof, bright red calipers, performance exhaust, cf metallic fender stripes with red edge accent, and black composite rockers. Ed is a true Corvette guy.

~Susan P. of Reedsville, Pennsylvania factory ordered from me an Arctic White 2020 Stingray Convt with the two-tone Red/Black interior. Very nicely equipped with 2LT pkg, GT2 seats, CF panted Nacelles, bright red calipers, sueded microfiber steering wheel/seat inserts, CF/Edge red fender stripes, and much more. Paperwork process completed via Fed Ex and a truck brought the C8 to her PA driveway.

~Robert B. of Denton, Texas factory ordered an Arctic White 2020 Corvette Z51 coupe with two-tone red/black interior and almost every option…then he bought the CF exposed weave ground effects pkg and Black high wing spoiler through our service/ parts dept to install. The paperwork is done and Plycar trucking picked it up yesterday for the enclosed trailer trip to Robert’s Texas home. Equipment list: CF exposed weave dual roof pkg with transparent top, front lift, cf instrument panel, magnetic ride, edge red calipers, sueded microfiber seat inserts, and steering wheel, spectra gray wheels, engine appearance pkg, 3LT pkg, red custom stitch, CF visible mirror caps and much more.

~Gene S. of Bethesda, MD last ordered a 2014 Corvette from me and last week he traded in his C7 for the C8! Gene chose Black with the two-tone red/black interior for his new 2020 Corvette Z51 Convertible. Equipment list: front lift, magnetic ride, bright red calipers, CF painted wheels, sueded microfiber inserts/steering wheel, and 3LT pkg. The top was down as Gene motored off.

~Bob D. of Redondo Beach, California had his new 2020 Corvette arrive at his Las Vegas, NV home via Plycar trucking so he sent me these pictures. The 2nd Corvette he has bought from me from across the country. Blade Silver with Natural dipped interior for his Z51 Convt.

~Dana S of Ellicott City, MD factory ordered a Torch Red 2020 Corvette and it’s his very first Corvette! Dana arrived bright and early for his delivery appt. and I had him in and out in under 40 minutes. Equipment list: Black interior, 2LT pkg, body-color accents, performance exhaust, and GT1 seats. Dana wanted to take delivery just as it came from the factory…without the white shipping cover of course. Super nice guy and he is glad to own a Corvette.

~Tom N. of Bozeman, Montana special ordered his new Blade Silver 2020 Corvette Z51 convertible to be courtesy delivered so I had it drop shipped to his local dealer in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Tom was referred to me and we just met three weeks ago at Spring Mountain racetrack. I had a blast getting to know Tom for the few days we spent in Pahrump, NV. Tom ordered the Morello dipped interior with Blade Silver metallic along with 3LT pkg, CF painted Nacelles and top, body-color accents, front lift, magnetic ride, and much more. Tom is moving to Florida so this stunning drop-top Corvette will soon be in the Sunshine state.

~Mike H. of Boynton Beach, Florida last ordered a red 2014 Corvette convt from me and this time was no surprise as he ordered a Torch Red 2020 Z51 convertible with two-tone red/black interior. His son picked him up at the airport and they arrived early for delivery. Mike will drive to the Auto Train in Va this weekend and ride the rail home. Equipment list: 2LT Pkg, CF black wheels, red calipers, GT2 seats, CF full stripe, CF painted nacelles, cf painted mirrors/Spoiler, and more! Email from Mike in his own words: "I drove it with the top down yesterday.
It will live in Joel’s garage until the rain goes away.
We did connect the Bluetooth.
The C8 and I will be back in Florida next week.
Thank you for your assistance in selling me my 2nd Corvette from you.
It is exactly the way I wanted it; referring to the exterior and interior appearance.

~Steve M. From Harrisburg, PA factory ordered his very first Corvette…and what a Corvette! Torch Red 2020 Corvette Convertible with two-tone Red/Black interior pair up perfectly with CF black wheels and Bright rad calipers. Only 105 miles ride home and it will induce a Perma grin with every mile! The equipment list also includes: 3LT pkg, CF painted Nacelles and roof, front lift, performance exhaust, cf painted mirrors, and much more!

A few others that left the yard this week…

~Borat has been to Criswell for the very first Borat movie…maybe he will return again someday. The picture below shows Criswell sales rep Jim Sell and Borat going toe to toe. I will be the first to say that Jim held his own and did a great job selling Borat his ice cream truck. Jim passed away in 2012 and was a great guy, miss him very much.

The magazine label is from my collection of magazines. I have about a dozen just like it from the ’60s through the early ’90s. I donated a few to the Corvette Museum. The first family of Corvette as far as I am concerned. The Konner family in the Corvette showroom Summer of 1984.
