And You Can Put It In Your Garage!
Our friends at the Dream Giveaway Garage have added a classic Corvette to its stellar roster of high profile vehicle sweepstakes and CorvetteBlogger readers get DOUBLE ENTRIES! We can’t wait to check it out in real life…look for that in the near future! This latest sweepstakes to benefit veteran and children’s charities is called the Classic Corvette Dream Giveaway and they are offering an Ermine White 1966 Corvette Sting Ray Roadster with a 427 and factory air as the grand prize!
The second-generation Corvettes are among the most coveted for their great looks and legendary performance. The 1966 model year began the reign of the 427 big blocks with multiple engine options available. And we really can appreciate how well-optioned this Sting Ray is.
This Ermine White 1966 Corvette with Blue interior was originally delivered to the Welch Motor Company in Raymondville, Texas in December 1965. The original owner outfitted the car with the optional 427/390-hp engine and just about every other option bringing the MSRP to $5,935.85. Options included the 4-speed manual transmission, air conditioning, power brakes, power steering, positraction rear axle, transistor ignition, cast aluminum wheels, AM/FM Radio with power antenna and the teakwood steering wheel.
The Sting Ray has been fully restored to Concours-quality and is ready to be driven to the local car show or cruise-in! You know you want to put this legendary, high-performance American sports car in your garage, so enter now.
Your tax-deductible donation enters you to win the 1966 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible and $30,000 to pay the winner’s taxes. CorvetteBlogger readers receive DOUBLE ENTRIES with a minimum donation of $25. Winners are flown to Clearwater where the keys and check will be awarded with representatives of the various charities and special guests in attendance.
Proceeds from the Classic Corvette Dream Giveaway support New Beginning Children’s Homes, a 501(c)(3) organization which provides family-focused living accommodations for abused, neglected or orphaned children. The Classic Corvette Dream Giveaway also supports a number of well-known and respected charities including Honor Flight of West Central Florida, the National Guard Education Foundation, Smile Network International, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, 4Kids, and Bright Pink.

Remarkable car but I always wanted the C2 Coupe with the 396/4speed/ and side pipes in Nashua Blue. My C4 was blue and now My C8 is Blue! In the beginning, even before Zora Corvettes were White with Red interior 6 cylinder, Dual exhaust, Power Glide 2 speed Automatics!
Very nice Corvette and being raffled off for a very worthy cause, but the picture in the write up of the engine is not for a Corvette. Good Luck to those who are entered, I wish I were in a position to throw my hat into the ring.
Craig, nice eye, good catch.
That’s the image that was supplied to us, but I am hoping to see the car in person soon to get a better look at the 427/390 V8.
LAST OF THE BEST !!!! C2!!!!!!!
Beautiful, nice color combination, be nice to see the real engine compartment picture. This looks like an impala or some other Chevrolet engine compartment!
Yeah, that has to be a full size Chevy engine pic.
It’s the only other one to get a 427 in the ’60s…
