[VIDEO] Corvette Pace Car Homecoming Rescheduled for August 14th – 16th

Another victim of the Covid-19 pandemic has found a new home on the calendar. The Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Homecoming will now be held August 14th – 16th. The event will now take place alongside the rescheduled Indianapolis 500 qualifying weekend. Friday, August 14th is “Fast Friday” and the 15th and 16th mark qualifying days for the greatest spectacle in racing.

The Pace Car homecoming event will host Indianapolis 500 Official Corvette Pace Cars or Indy 500 Festival Corvettes. Capacity will be capped at the first 150 cars to register. The entrance fee is $150 and additional cars can be entered for $75 if they are registered by the same owner.

Participants will also receive two tickets for the “Fast Friday” practice as well as Indianapolis 500 qualifying. In addition, they’ll also have the option to purchase a 1-of-75 event license plate plus some additional hospitality.

The cars will be showcased in the south lot of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway which is located right inside the Gate 2 tunnel entrance off 16th Street. The event itself is open to the public and admission is free with the price of grounds admission for Indy 500 practice and qualifying.
