[ACCIDENT] 2020 Corvette Crashes Into a Field

Lots of Facebook comments on these pictures of an accident scene featuring a crashed 2020 Corvette, but unfortunately, no one seems to be fessing up to being the one to do it. I don’t blame them. I know that right way many will jump on the driver and we’ll have comments that say he didn’t deserve to own a Corvette, but we just hope he (or she) is okay.

We found these photos posted to the C8 Corvette Facebook Page on Sunday afternoon and they were most likely grabbed from another source. If anyone can point us in the right direction, let us know!

So let’s break down these photos. The first thing I noticed right away was no license plate. Perhaps it had a temporary tag but it’s long gone. The optional high wing has a chunk missing out of the right side. Moving to the front we see the fascia is gone and the radiator exposed on the corner while the frunk is laying again the passenger side door. You also have to wonder how all that grass got on the side of the car!

Both photos also show wet roads so perhaps a new owner may have lost control on the wet roads, but there is also the possibility he was hit, struck something, or was avoiding something. As we learn more about the cause of the accident, we’ll be sure to update. In the meantime, let’s have a moment of silence for this 2020 Corvette.

  1. Which ever was the cause, it’s definitely an “oops” moment. The C8 seems to have been a nicely optioned one as the “visible carbon fiber” roof looks to be present in the photos. Hope it wasn’t so badly damaged so as to total the car.?

  2. …”moment of silence for this 2020 Corvette”… okay, …’sniff’…

Now how about several minutes laughing & snickering about the driver? I hope he’s still alive so he can be exposed and laughed at over his incompetent mistake!

Sorry, it’s just [my] human nature.

It’s a total – Hopefully, his insurance will skyrocket to the point he can’t afford another one – LOL…

  3. Looks like the auto pilot didn’t work! I know C8s don’t have an auto pilot, someone should have told the driver. Wet roads and hydroplaning doesn’t go well with wide summer tires! Having the traction control on or in Wet Mode would have helped. The only time I have been airborne in a Corvette was with the traction control off but luckily stuck the landing!

  4. A dealer near the seen recognized the spec. and knows who’s C8 this is, so local folks know who turned their Corvette in to a PT Boat!

  5. Looking back on all the hoopla that’s been posted, as I recall ChevyDude had a white C8, with black rims and added a high wing. Could it be???? So is the third unit that has been totaled now out of 2700 sold?

“It’s just a car and accidents happen everyday.”

Yeah, that’s certainly true enough… and it’s why we have insurance, etc.
But I’d bet the owner/driver of this one (an’ I hope they are OK) sure doesn’t feel that way.

FINAL THOUGHT: I’ve purchased more than one Corvette in my life… and I could never think of a Corvette as “just a car”… they are all special.
I’m guessing most past an’ present owners of Corvettes would agree.

  7. Yes, Corvettes are special along with Harley-Davidsons and Dachshunds. No one should go through life without having one of each at some point.
