As the 2020 Corvette Stingray is still in its-preproduction phase, we opted to pass on attending the SEMA Show this year. But we knew friends of ours would be out there so we are still able to bring some great views of the 2020 Corvette Stingray Coupe and Convertible showcased with the Corvette C8.R at the Chevrolet display.
Chevrolet is featuring the Ceramic Matrix Gray Corvette Stingray Coupe, most likely the same car that was one of three on the stage at 07.18.19 reveal in Tustin, California. It’s a non-Z51 with the 3LT interior featuring the Adrenaline Red interior.
The Rapid Blue 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible was one of two cars shown during the Convertible reveal at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida last month. Also a non-Z51 car, the Rapid Blue Stingray shows off a 3LT trim package as noted by the two-tone blue interior. If you look closely, you’ll see the new Jake logo caps on the wheels, a $200 option according to the car’s info board.
Leading the way front and center is Corvette Racing’s new No.4 C8.R race car shown in its new Silver/Yellow livery. Chevy is still blacking out the interior of the racecar and the 5.5L flat-plane crank V8 is not being shown at the show, so there’s still some secrecy with the program as that engine is expected to provide the heartbeat of the future C8 Z06.
A huge shoutout goes to our friend and professional photographer Jeff Daum for allowing us to share these photos which he originally posted to the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com. Jeff is based in the Las Vegas area so if you require the services of a professional photographer, he’s your guy!
