High Inventories Mean Big Discounts Up to $23,000 On Remaining New 2017 Corvettes

Earlier this week our story on the 9,000 unsold Corvettes was picked up by Motor1, AutoBlog, and other sites and it got us wanting to follow the story to its natural conclusion…there are some great deals available on new Corvettes!

I like to use Cars.com to do search and price comparisons of new and pre-owned Corvettes and a nationwide search for New Corvettes yielded over 5,800 results. I tightened the search down to just new 2017s and found 152 matches which I then sorted by lowest price first.

The lowest price we found was a new 2017 Corvette Stingray loaded with the 3LT trim package, an 8-Speed Automatic Transmission and just 5 miles on the odometer. The original MSRP was $69,910 but now the car is discounted by $20,910 to just $49,000! You can find this car listed at Apple Chevrolet of Red Lion, PA.

Or maybe you’re a Grand Sport fan? This 2017 Corvette Grand Sport has 25 miles on the odometer and its original MSRP was $79,350. It comes equipped with the Z07 Performance Package and a 1LT equipment group. Today it’s listed at Leckner Chevrolet in Woodstock, VA for $59,995.

Here’s a 2017 Corvette Z06 with a 3LZ interior. The car is painted Watkins Glen Gray with Jet Black interior and has the Pearl Nickel-finished Z06 heels. The MSRP on this car was $100,605 but has since been discounted by $22,240 to $78,365. This Z06 is for sale by Kunes Country Chevrolet in Delavan, WI.

If you want a 2017 Z06 with a bit more content, this 2017 Watkins Glen Gray Z06 Coupe comes with a 7-speed manual and has the full carbon fiber visible roof, B92 hood, and level 3 aerodynamics. We believe its a Z07 package but the listing doesn’t specify. What it does specify is that the original $108,685 MSRP has been discounted by $23,000 to $85,685. This Z06 is available from Toccoqa Chevrolet in Toccoa, GA.

When I refined my search for preowned 2017s, the sales prices dropped to the low $40s for Stingrays with up with 25K miles while preowned Grand Sports were priced in the high $40s. I also looked at new 2018 Corvettes and saw an average discount ranging from $8,000-$12,000 off the MSRP.

So if you really want a new Corvette and don’t mind that one has been hanging around for a year or so, there are deals to be had if you know where to look!
