[VIDEO] Kentucky State Police To Raffle a New Corvette to Support Trooper Island

We recently told you about the price increase that Chevy has announced for the 2019 Corvette.

But here’s one way to beat that hike.

For just $10, you could be the lucky winner of a new Corvette – Torch Red with Jet Black interior – that the Kentucky State Police are raffling off.

The 1LT car is red with a jet black interior and features a 6.2-liter V8 engine that provides up to 460 horsepower, an eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission, a removable carbon fiber roof panel and a driver-focused cockpit full of enhanced technology.

A full list of features and equipment can be found at kentuckystatepolice.org/trooperislandcorvette/.

Raffle tickets are $10 each and are available at any Kentucky State Police Post throughout the state beginning December 28. You can also buy tickets online by debit or credit card payment at https://squareup.com/store/trooper-island-inc or at the KSP booth at the Farm Machinery Show at the Kentucky Exposition Center February 13-16.

All proceeds from the raffle will benefit Trooper Island, a free summer camp for disadvantaged boys and girls ages 10-12, operated by Kentucky State Police on Dale Hollow Lake in Clinton County. It is financed entirely by donations, with no public funds used.

Each year, the camp hosts approximately 700 children, providing good food, fresh air, recreation, guidance and structured, esteem-building activities designed to build good citizenship and positive relationships with law enforcement officers.

Only 25,000 tickets will be sold, and the winner will be drawn at the Kentucky State Fair on August 25, 2019.

By the way, you do not have to be present at the drawing to win. Raffle winner is responsible for all tax and license fees. (Charitable gaming license #0000633.)

  1. This is a great cause to donate to. The KSP was a great boon to starting the 1-Lap of KY tour which has generated a lot of money for both the Museum and Trooper Island. They do some terrific work with underprivileged kids from all corners of KY
