With one last race remaining on the 2018 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, organizers have tweaked the Balance of Performance (BoP) tables for the GTLM class.

The latest bulletin makes changes affecting only the BMW M8 and the Porsche 911 RSR.

The BMW will lose six liters of fuel for a total capacity of 86.0 liters.

The Porsche 911 gains 15kg of weight but also gets more air as the air restrictors are increased by a 0.7mm, bringing it to 32.2mm. The Porsche also will get an additional liter of fuel for 97 liters total.

Balance of Performance levels for the Corvette C7.Rs, Ford GTs and the Ferrari 488s were unchanged and remain the same since the last BoP change prior to CTMP in July.

Ford leads the Manufacturers Championship with a 10 point lead over Corvette.

  1. Thank goodness that IMSA finally realized that the RLL BMW was carrying more fuel than everyone else! One less fuel stop in the last race bought it a 1st place over Corvette Racing’s 3rd.
