Hear that humming sound? That’s the sound of thousands of classic car enthusiasts vibrating in space anxiously waiting for the 3rd Saturday in August to arrive. That late summer day marks the annual Woodward Dream Cruise. For Corvette fans, that also means it’s time for the annual Corvette extravaganza known as Corvettes on Woodward.
This year Corvettes on Woodward’s marquee event has a new home after a one-year hiatus. Staging for the all-Corvette cruise down world-famous Woodward Avenue to the Open Hands food pantry. The Masonic Lodge and the Church of the Latter Day Saints now marks ground zero. It’s located just north of 16 mile road on the west side of the street. Staging begins about 4:30pm on Wednesday, August 15th and the caravan plans to leave by 7:30pm. A $10 gets you into the fun. Don’t forget to bring additional food donations as well.
In addition to the cruise down Woodward, there’s morning tour of the GM Heritage Collection on August 15th. The following morning the crew heads off to the Lingenfelter Collection. Full plans are still being finalized. For more information contact Larry Courtney at [email protected] or follow this thread on the Corvette Forum for all the latest Corvettes on Woodward info.
