It’s always a lot of fun to find an old classic car in a barn.
But at the same time, it’s sad to think that a powerful Corvette like this one hasn’t been allowed to exercise its horses in a long while.
This 1968 Corvette convertible has been in storage for 30 years, according to a current craigslist ad in the Boston area.
That’s a long time for this dark green beauty – which still has the matching numbers 427/390 hp engine under the hood, hooked to a four-speed transmission – to sit idle.
Hopefully, someone will be climbing into the black leather seats of this two-top Corvette soon and get that powerful motor humming down the highway again.
No other details about the car were given in the ad, but the photos seem to indicate a lot of potential for this one to be turned into a very nice 427-powered C3, especially since the seller is asking just $25,000 or best offer.
A quick search of the Internet turned up several restored 427s going for anywhere from $35,000 to $65,000, so the new owner could have a few dollars to spend on a restoration before having to worry about getting too far upside down in the car.

The interior shot shows map pockets that were introduced for the 1969 model year. Seems like an odd modification and I wonder how difficult it was?
Wonder if the ’67 in the background will be up soon on Craigslist?
How about the yellow one adjacent to it.
Wish the owner told us a bit of the history of this car,why stored so long ,ect.
