Here’s your opportunity to buy a “completely restored” 1953 Corvette.
One of just 300 Polo White over Sportsman Red Corvettes that kicked off 65 years of crazy enthusiasm over Chevrolet’s sports car, this car will be going to Bloomington Gold next month for judging, where the seller expects “a very high score.
Surprisingly, for such a historically important car, there’s not very much detail at all in the ad, which concludes with the owner simply describing it as “one of the best.”
Other information in the brief ad: “This car has most of its original parts. Original VIN tag, original engine never decked, original valve cover, reproduction date-coded head.”
If things check out as described, you could become one of the very few people in the world ever to own a 1953 Corvette, but that exclusivity apparently won’t come cheaply. The starting bid is a whopping $200,000.
If you have any questions, the ad directs you to call Ray Hicks at 248-880-8457. The auction closes on Sunday, May 28th at 4:45 pm ET.
