Whoops!
It might make for a beautiful photographic background for this silver C6 Corvette, but we’re sure the 17-year-old driver isn’t as thrilled about losing control of the car and winding up in the water.
The teen and his young passenger apparently were speeding over railroad tracks nearby when he lost control and swerved into Cedar Creek at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The accident happened while the Corvette was heading east on South 14th Street near Kirby Park in Abilene, Texas, according to Officer Edward Cutbirth of the Abilene Police Department.
Fortunately, the two occupants of the Corvette escaped without injury, though the car and some poles along the creek weren’t as lucky. Investigation into the accident continues by the APD.
