[DVR ALERT] Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Heads to the White House

Jerry Seinfeld will be kicking off a new season of his web show “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” by taking a 1963 Corvette Sting Ray Sport Coupe to the White House where he’ll be meeting with the nation’s Commander in Chief, President Obama.

During the show, President Obama and Jerry Seinfeld will take turns driving the Silver-Blue 1963 Corvette Split-Window around the south lawn and we also have seen a picture where the two are shown in the back of the Presidential limo known as “The Beast”.

While we are sure the President has bigger things to do, it’s not surprising to see him appear on a non-traditional show where we are promised that the “curtain will be pulled back” to catch a glimpse “of the lighter side of the being in the White House”. The episode was filmed the day after Obama gave a prime-time speech about terrorism to the nation from the Oval Office.

We also wonder about the choice of the Corvette for this episode as everybody knows that the big Corvette enthusiast in Washington is current Vice President Joe Biden whose has owned a 1967 big block Corvette for many years. Obama once said that when he is out of office that he may buy a Chevrolet Volt so at least he’s considering staying with the company that was famously bailed out of financial difficulty back in 2008-09.

Although we called this post a “DVR ALERT”, the show airs on the internet so we’re not sure how to DVR it, so set an alarm as Jerry Seinfeld’s Season 7 of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” airs on Crackle.com on Wednesday, December 30th. Other comedians who are scheduled throughout the season are Will Ferrell and Steve Martin.
