[ACCIDENT] C5 Corvette Wedges Under an SUV in Montana

Corvettes are often referred to as “toys” for their owners.

Well, if that’s the case, then this photo of a crash on King Avenue in Billings, Mont., on Saturday night is fitting. In the background, you’ll see a Toys”R”Us sign!

According to a witness, the accident happened when the driver of a rental SUV pulled across traffic from a parking lot into the lane of the westbound C5.

The impact drove the hood of the silver C5 Corvette under the SUV, which then tipped over and did a delicate balancing act on the wheels of its passenger side.

Air bags deployed in both vehicles, and one of the drivers had to be extricated from his vehicle. Based on the photo, we’re not sure exactly which one or why that would have been necessary, unless the doors were jammed shut.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, according to firefighters with the Billings Fire Department.
