[PICS] The Corvette Vanity Plates of Corvettes at Carlisle 2015


One of our favorite things to do at the major car shows is to wander the venue checking out all of the vanity plates adorning the various Corvettes in attendance. Our latest installment of Corvette vanity plates comes to you straight from Corvettes at Carlisle. This year’s Carlisle was the 2nd largest ever and we came up with a grandiose collection of vanity plates for your viewing pleasure.

We scoured every corner of the Carlisle Fairgrounds from the NCCC show to the Fun Field to the ZR1 display. Once again we were reminded of just how creative Corvette owners can be when it comes to vanity plates. Some plates like “SVT HAHA” poked fun at Corvette’s rival from Dearborn. Others described the car itself like “C6 505HP” while “1LONG W8” summed up how most of us felt when we got our first Corvette. One of our favorites was “RPOB2K1” which was attached to the first 25th anniversary Callaway Corvette. “DUZ 200” on the back of a C4 ZR1 simply called out the car’s top end speed.

While perusing the vanity plates at Carlisle we realized just how far people travel to attend each year. We peeped cars from as far away as Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Ontario, and Kansas. That’s a long haul to eastern Pennsylvania.

If we had a vanity plate it would be “CVTBLGR”. Once again we were reminded that Corvette owners are the best when it comes to creative vanity plates.
