Today was a fun day for Corvette Racing driver Oliver Gavin. This morning he sent out a cryptic tweet suggesting something special was on the way. And when that special something finally arrived, even the rainy weather in the Englishman’s home town of Yardley Hastings couldn’t dampen his spirits when he saw his Arctic White Corvette Stingray Z51 for the first time.
We are not sure of the ownership status of the Corvette Stingray that arrived at the Gavin house, but if any one group of professional athletes should have first dibs on driving a Corvette and representing America’s favorite sports car as part of a marketing deal (ahem, Manchester United?), we think it should be the guys from Corvette Racing.
So check out these tweets from Oliver Gavin today. Corvettes arriving on your doorstep is a pretty magical moment. Let’s hope the weather will clear up so he can drive over to Porsche driver Nick Tandy’s house to show off the Stingray.

Some creative guesses earlier. It does run on petrol, not milk. It's got 4 wheels and no it's not a giraffe.? #Z51 pic.twitter.com/IukdvPXnOh
