We love barn finds and got another fun one to share today that is now listed on eBay. It’s a non-running, non-driving, non-starting Vette that has (nearly) all the bits and pieces needed to restore and it only requires your time and money to make it whole again.
It’s rough for sure, and missing a driver’s side door, but the body does look to be fairly complete with most of the body panels intact. It does come with the hood and trunk and there is a hard top available for it as well.
The seller says the barn find 1960 Corvettes appears to have been a real dual-quad 283/270 hp when it was originally assembled in St. Louis. Today, the 327 cubic inch engine looks to be from a 1962-63 and it does come with a Muncie 4-speed transmission mated to a really tall aftermarket shifter.
Inside the cockpit, the Corvette’s interior is complete – as in completely destroyed – after years of neglect. The seats show holes all the way through and the dash has shriveled up. Of concern to any restorer is rust and this Corvette does show rust on the steering column and the exposed hinges on the missing driver’s side door.

There has been much activity on the auction with 43 bids received as of Wednesday afternoon. Currently, this 1960 Corvette project is sitting at $16,600 with the auction closing on Friday at 11:00 am ET.
