[PIC] Throwback Thursday: Vintage 1966 Corvette Advertisement

It’s time for Throwback Thursday where we feature vintage photos of Corvettes. This week’s photo comes to us in the form of a vintage magazine ad for the 1966 Corvette.

Titled “Italy doesn’t have a thing on Ashtabula, Ohio”, the ad pays homage to the town that built the Sting Ray’s fiberglass bodies.

And like most vintage Chevrolet ads, the excellent wordsmithing under the photo brings out feelings and emotions as if you were actually driving the car:

“Just starting the engine makes your pulse pound. And once underway, you have such exotic seasonings as independent front and rear suspension, four-wheel disc brakes — and up to 425 horsepower on order – the heighten the effect.”

Just beautiful!
