ProTeam Corvette to Host NCRS Judging School and Seminars

Our friends at ProTeam Corvette Sales will be hosting an all-day Corvette seminar and judging school on Saturday November 10th. The event is sponsored by the Michigan and Heart of Ohio chapters of the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS), although NCRS membership isn’t required to attend the event. The cost is just $10 at the door which includes breakfast and lunch. Enthusiasts under 35 years of age get in free.

The informative event will include presentations by well-known Corvette enthusiasts, engineers, and Hall of Famers. Some of the topics consist of Design and Engineering versus actual production, Chevrolet Engineering cars, the St. Louis Build Process and more. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to study several GM Shop Order cars and tour ProTeam’s sprawling facility.

Here’s a look at the preliminary schedule for the day:

• 7:00am: ProTeam opens
• 8:00am – 9:00am: Coffee and Rolls
• 9:00am – 11:00am:
     o Design and Engineering Intent versus Production Realities
     o “Skunkworks” Experimental Shop and Garage
     o The Chevrolet Engineering Cars
     o War Stories
  
• 11:00am – 12:00am: “Prove It” (and Q & A) by David Burroughs
• 12:00pm – 1:00pm: Catered lunch with surprise presentation
• 1:00pm – 2:30pm: St. Louis Mid-Year Assembly Process
• 2:30pm – 3:30pm: “Zero to Sixty in Two Days” 1963-67 Corvette training program
• 3:30pm–4:30pm: Chevrolet Engineering cars that saved Corvette from extinction

The list of presenters and contributors includes: ProTeam’s Terry Michaelis Franz Estereicher, John Hinckley, Gib Hufstader, Harry Jones, Rochester fuel injection guru Ken Kayser, Tom Langdon, Jim Mattison, Dave McClellan, Werner Meier, GM Powertrain’s Bill Nichols, Jim Wallace, Chuck Ungurean, Ken Lingenfelter, and Gray Tuttle.

Attendees 35 years old and younger get in free.
