Callaway Cars Announces the Return of RPO B2K with Special 25th Anniversary Edition

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Callaway Cars has announced that the famous RPO B2K option package will return to a limited number 2012 Corvettes. The popular option package first appeared in 1987 and, when selected, force-fed the stock Corvette L98 through a pair of intercooled turbos. Since that time, the Callaway Twin-Turbo Corvettes have grown in popularity amongst enthusiasts and collectors.

The 2012 production run will be comprised of just 25 cars. All of those units will be assembled on April 9th, 2012.

Prospective buyers will be able to choose from Grand Sport Coupes or Convertible with 3LT or 4LT trim. Both six-speed and automatic transmissions will be available as well. The interior will feature ebony colored seats with a Callaway steering wheel, door sills, and floor mats. High-rollers who opt for the top-dog, leather wrapped 4LT package will receive suede seat inserts and red stitching.

The previous generation’s twin turbos will be replaced with by a supercharger. Exact power output is TBD as of right now. Suspension enhancements include special Callaway engineered dampers with performance wheel alignment and a lowered ride height. Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP tires wrapped around Black Chrome Callaway wheels get the power to the ground. Red brake calipers lurk behind each wheel.

The new RPO B2K Callaway Corvette will be unveiled at their Dealer Summit IV which is held at the National Corvette Museum on April 23rd, 2012.

We’ll take a 6-speed, 4LT convertible, please!
