With so many nice cars offered, it’s very difficult to decide which cars to preview here. In addition to the cars featured in this Preview Video, below are some of our favorites crossing the block this week in Indy.

Lot S166 and S224 2009 ZR1 Coupes – One Factory Stock and One Not so Much.
Model Year 2009 saw the ZR1 return after a 14 year hiatus sporting a blown 6.2 liter LS9 pounding out 638 horsepower. If you missed your chance to by a brand new one back in 2009, now you’ve got another shot with Lot S166. The Jet Stream Blue on Black 3ZR equipped stunner has travelled a mere 800 miles since new. Is 638 horsepower just not enough for you? Then check out lot S224, a Cyber Gray, Ligenfelter tuned 2009 ZR1. The 6th ZR1 assembled in 2009 has been upgraded to 710hp and ran the famous Texas Mile at nearly 186mph. We expect bidding on both of these monsters to hit 6 figures very quickly.

Lot S106 – 1953 Roadster
First year Corvettes command attention anytime they’re offered for sale. This example, number 274, is no different. The Polo White on red car was frame off restored by Blue Flame Restorations in Pendleton, Indiana. The seller states that this car “should easily bring top accolades at any Bloomington, NCRS or other major show.” After looking at the photos of this car and we have no reason to disagree with that statement.

L232 – 1967 L89 Coupe
St. Louis built just 16 L89 equipped Corvettes in 1967. On stage at 7:15pm eastern on Thursday May 19th, this blue on blue coupe features the aforementioned L89 427 with aluminum heads, transistor ignition, F41 suspension, 4.11 rear end, and AM/FM radio. The car has achieved Multiple NCRS Top Flights and is Bloomington Gold Certified. Based on the awards and condition, we expect active bidding on this C2, however we would have liked to have seen a mention of some type documentation proving that this car was born with that L89 between the front fenders.

Lot F279 – 1968 Coupe modified by Yenko
1968 saw the debut of the swoopy “shark” body style which ran through 1982. This big block example was sold new at Yenko Chevrolet and is fresh out of 35 years worth of storage. The unrestored, 7,800 mile, L71 car was tuned by Yenko Chevrolet to 471hp. Other options include a 4 speed , 4:11 rear gear, side pipes, Yenko/Astro wheels with Goodyear Polyglas GT tires, and a Baldwin Motion hood. The seller states documentation via “Full factory documents including Owners Manual and Protect-O-Plate”. A true time capsule that is very cool and will surely be very expensive to purchase on Friday may 20th.

Lot S134 – 1969 L88 Coupe
This Fathom Green on Saddle L88 is selling at no reserve from the Paul Dehnert collection. Restored by the Nabers Brothers, the coupe features a 4 speed transmission, 4:11 rear end, side pipes, and “LO” open-chamber cylinder heads. The Bloomington Gold Certified Corvette is documented with the original Protect-O-Plate. When it comes desirable Corvettes, this one has to be near the top of the list. The awards, rarity, color combo, and no reserve sale will certainly drive frenzied bidding. Better have your checkbook ready when this one crosses the block on Saturday May 21 around 3:20pm eastern.

Lot S204 – 1971 LS6 Coupe
Just 188 Corvettes were powered by the 425hp LS6 454 in 1971 thus making them rarer than a L88 equipped Corvette. This matching numbers Brands Hatch Green coupe offered on Saturday May 21st at 6:05pm was restored by the Nabers Brothers and has won Bloomington Gold and NCRS Top Flight awards. Documentation is provided courtesy of the original Protect-O-Plate.
