GM: Orders for 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Opens on February 21st

We got great news tonight from General Motors regarding the production status of the 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon limited edition. Corvette’s Product Marketing Manager Harlan Charles has confirmed that the Supersonic Blue or Inferno Orange Z06s will be available for ordering from your Chevrolet dealer beginning on February 21, 2011.

Harlan confirmed the news on facebook with this posting:

Yes! The 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition is coming out. Your Chevrolet dealer can order one for you on February 21st. Supersonic Blue or Inferno Orange.

The 2011 Corvette Z06 will MSRP at $90,960 and if you select all the option boxes, a loaded 2011 Z06 Carbon Edition will sell for $99,925. Although 500 examples are planned, we are betting actual production to be much smaller. To reacquaint you with the lightest, most track-ready Corvette ever produced by Chevrolet, check out the reveal video taken at 2010’s 12 Hours of Sebring featuring Harlan and Corvette’s Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter:

  1. how is the limited carbon edition different than the other corvettes with the Z07 and CFZ options?

  2. Jeff:

Thanks for your comment. The biggest difference is the Carbon has the ZR1’s Carbon Fiber hood (sans window), a custom suede interior and the black ZR1 wheels. A limited edition run and special graphics round out the package.
