1969 Corvette Barn Car Found in Maryland

Here is a 1969 Corvette barn car found somewhere in Maryland. As the seller/buyer was attempting to open the garage door, it basically came apart revealing the C3 Stingray coupe inside. The Corvette was parked sometime in 1979 by the second owner and is still wearing the tags from that year.

Although the original 427/400 hp big block engine is long gone, this early C3 Corvette still features some nice options including the original 4-speed transmission, side pipes, power brakes, steering and windows, A/C, AM/FM Stereo, Speed Warning Indicator and the factory alarm system.

The new owner tells us on the Corvette Forum that the frame and birdcage are good and that the Corvette also comes with docs including a “subsequent owner” protect-o-plate with the second owner data. All in all, a very nice find for a restorer.

The last two photos in the series show the Corvette in its new home, after a bath of course!
