Earlier this month, GM set the automotive world ablaze with news of the Build Your Engine experience for Corvette Z06 and ZR1 buyers. Tomorrow, GM is giving you a chance to chat directly with a couple of the guys from Wixom’s Performance Build Center where the LS7 and LS9 engines are assembled.
Joining the live chat is skilled Corvette engine builder John Ross, the Performance Build Center’s area manager Carl Pickelman and Corvette marketing manager John Fitzpatrick.
GM will be hosting the live webchat on Thursday, July 29th at 12 Noon EST on the GM FastLane blog
The Corvette Engine Build Experience will add $5800 to the price of your new Corvette Z06 or ZR1. For a quick refresher on what’s involved, here is the Chevrolet video showing a professional engine builder assembling the ZR1’s LS9:
