Director Michael Bay has turned his 3D cameras to Chicago to provide the backdrop for more robot vs robot mayhem and the new Corvette Stingray Concept appeared to be in the thick of it along with several NASCAR themed Decepticons. Bumblebee reprises his role in the Camaro and Optimus Prime gains a trailer. Exciting stuff for sure!
Speaking of the NASCAR Decepticons, we see Jimmy Johnson’s #48 Impala, Junior’s #88 and the #42 Impala. Hmm, any coincidence that the Chevy-sponsored movie that featuring a Camaro, Corvette and the Beat and Trax twins would also give screen time to Chevrolet-backed NASCAR teams?
The yet unnamed Transformers 3 is scheduled for release on July 1, 2011 and will be shown in 3D and IMAX 3D theaters. Bay says this will be the last film in the series.
