2007 Z06 Corvette at NCMThe National Corvette Museum announced today that on Thursday, September 7th, they are planning to deliver the 5,000th Corvette to a customer, who will be taking delivery of a 2007 Velocity Yellow Coupe. The R8C Delivery Program has been a mainstay at the Museum since 1995, but the option has really taken off in the last year. For the 2006 Model year, 1172 Corvettes were delivered to their new owners and according to the Museum, they are on pace to beat the figure for the 2007 model. R8C Deliveries offers new owners an exciting experience to kick-off their new ownership. Customers receive their own NCM guided VIP tour of the Corvette Assembly Plant and the National Corvette Museum. Their Corvette is on display and friends and family can watch the delivery via the NCM website on a series of webcams. The Delivery Team provides an orientation and presentation of the vehicle and a unique Gold Decal is placed on the drivers door jamb to signify the importance of the event. New owners are also presented with a one year NCM membership. As a participant of the R8C Delivery program, owners are invited back every other year for a special event called the R8C Museum Delivery/NCM Xperience. This year’s event will be held September 29-30th. Source: National Corvette Museum
