While in Detroit for the 1.13.13 reveal and the North American International Auto Show, we talked with Craig Sass who was the Interior Design Manager on the C7 Corvette. Craig and his team were responsible for totally redesigning the interior of the Stingray. To say they were challenged in this task would be an understatement based on the constant criticism of the C6 Corvette’s interior. But now that the 2014 Corvette Stingray has been revealed, the interior design team has earned high praise and respect for taking the interior space of the Stingray to a whole new level.
At the 2013 North American International Auto Show, CorvetteBlogger spoke with Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter about the new 2014 Corvette Stingray and many of the features on the new car.
Following the invite-only reveal last Sunday night, we attended Corvette’s public Press Conference debut the following morning at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. After some remarks by GM’s Mary Barra, the new Stingray rolled out onto the soaring Corvette display and parked in between some of its older siblings. The elder Corvettes all wore varying shades of white while the newborn chose the more raucous shade of Torch Red.
All kinds of new cars and trucks will be on display at the North American International Auto Show in the coming days, but we know there will be one star that will shine brighter than all of them put together: the much-awaited 2014 C7 Corvette.
After unveiling its seventh-generation sports car to a select group of media and guests on Sunday, Jan. 13, the 2014 Corvette will make its official debut as a show car when its shown off to general automotive press on Monday morning, Jan. 14th.
Each January all eyes on the automotive world focus on the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. All the major carmakers roll out their latest creations and concepts for the world to see. This year General Motors created a whole new display to highlight their portfolio of products. We grabbed a couple of tickets to the ritzy charity preview event so we could check out all the good stuff before the show opened to the public.

Automakers from around the world debut new models, special editions, and future technologies. This year’s show featured roughly 40 new vehicle introductions as the auto industry continues to recover from the events of the last couple of years. Over 700,000 people will visit Detroit’s Cobo Center over the course of the 9 public show days.
