[PICS] More Sightings of the 2018 Corvette ZR1 in Colorado and Ohio

It must be that knowledge of the 2018 Corvette ZR1 prototypes testing on public streets has filtered down to casual observers as this weekend we received reports of sightings from Ohio and Colorado.

Our first pictures were submitted to us by someone who wishes to remain anonymous. This prototype 2018 Corvette ZR1 was spied in Colorado where its most likely undergoing high-altitude testing.

Next up, a truck driver caught our Ohio group of 2018 Corvette ZR1s traveling down the road with the rear wings attached. Spied was the “Big Wing” Corvette ZR1 Coupe (which we think is the track-ready Z06X) as well as the 2018 Corvette ZR1 Convertible Prototype with the smaller rear wing. Video of the encounter was posted to twitter by Daily Supercars:

  1. What do we know about the engine and transmission? Is this just a Z06 with a few more horses? Will the new 10 speed automatic from the Camaro be an option?

  2. Doesn’t look like enough room behind the driver for a mid-engine setup so I guess we can quit the speculations about such a model any time soon.
