[VIDEO] Watch a Robot Display a Corvette Stingray at a Trade Show

If you’ve ever been to any kind of trade show, you know that companies are always trying to find new way to get the attention of attendees. And while SEMA has its booth girls, the folks at FANUC America has something a little more to offer those attending the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS2016) in Chicago this week…like a giant robot swinging around a C7 Corvette Stingray!

FANUC calls it “the robot everyone is talking about” and it surely has captured our attention. We first saw it in a tweet earlier this week but now there is a video showing how the new FANUC M-2000iA/1700L Robot can lift and move heavy objects like a 3400 lb Corvette Stingray.

We see outrageous displays at car shows all the time and some people do put a lot of thought into how their rides are displayed. But I could imagine an equally outrageous Chip Foose custom build at Detroit’s Autorama being displayed in such a way as to show every angle of the car, even underneath!
