[VIDEO] Hennessey Performance Runs a Corvette Z06 to 175 MPH!

The last time we checked in with Hennessey Performance, they were busy working their tuning magic on the C7 Corvette Z06. Now we have video showing a Black Z06 Coupe wearing their HPE800 package sprinting down an airport runway at speeds up to 175 MPH.

On the Hennessey Performance website, they say the Corvette now makes 800 bhp at 6,500 rpms, hence the HPE800 designation. The power comes from a combination of new parts which include a Hennessey lower pulley, high flow cylinder heads, upgraded valve spring and lifters, a custom HPE camshaft and a cold air induction system.

Once those parts are installed, Hennessey dyno tunes the car and then works on calibrating those changes with the Z06’s engine management computer.

The upgraded Corvette Z06 also comes with HPE badges on the car and each build is serial numbered with custom dash and engine plaques. Optional upgrades include Hennessey carbon fiber door sill plates and H10 monoblock wheels

Hennessey also offers a 2 Year/24,000 mile limited warranty so its nice to see them stand by the work.

So here is the video showing the 0-175 mph sprint in the Hennessey HPE800 Corvette Z06:
