[POLL] Where Should the Bloomington Gold Corvette Show Move to Next?

Late last Friday we broke the news that Bloomington Gold is moving their show from Champaign to a new location to be announced. We had heard rumblings that another relocation could in the works, and that now looks to be a reality. But where should they go next?

Bloomington Gold has been held in several location over the last 40+ years. The show started out on the dusty fairgrounds in Bloomington and then moved on to Springfield, Il. From there it was back to Bloomington in a new location at the Interstate Center. Then in 2002 the show moved to Saint Charles just outside Chicago and the lush green fairways of the Pheasant Run Resort. Finally, there was the move to Champaign in 2013.

As we noted last week, the long term construction around Assembly Hall and some unhappiness with vendors likely led to the exit from the University of Illinois campus.

So what’s next for the Granddaddy of all Corvette shows? Will it move back closer to the Chicago area? Keep in mind that one of the reasons they left Chicago was traffic concerns the desire for more driving activities. Will it find another somewhat rural area where they can spread and continue to offer driving events like the GoldAutocross, GoldTour, and GM test drives? What about having Bloomington Gold at the National Corvette Museum? There just happens to be a brand new Motorsports Park right across the street from the NCM.

We’re not sure where Bloomington Gold will take place in 2015, but we want to hear where you’ll think it’ll be held. Vote now in our poll below. Don’t see your choice on our list? Tell us where you think it should be held in the Comments section. Regardless of the show’s location, we still plan on attending next year.
